A royal color palette. A stunning tourmalinated quartz drop is accented with rich apatite stones. I love the contrast of the gold against these stones. Chain measures 17-18” with lobster clasp and adjustable length chain closure. 14k gold fill.

About Apatite: The color of apatite is similar to beautiful tropical waters.  Apatite is actually the mineral that makes up the teeth and bones of all vertebrate animals. The name comes from the Greek word apate, which means, "to deceive." Apatite was often confused, therefore "deceiving" many, with some of the more valuable gems such as tourmaline, olivine, peridot, topaz and beryl.  Apatite's history with humans is long, yet surprisingly vague. While the stone has been associated with appetite suppression for centuries, few other traditions are known. Give in to the inspirational qualities of the Apatite crystal stone and encourage a peaceful respite from the confusion that comes from adulting in the modern world.

About tourmalinated quartz: Tourmalinated Quartz is clear or milky Quartz with black Tourmaline needles. Once considered too opaque to be used as a gemstone, tourmalinated quartz, long considered an ornamental stone, has been used decoratively for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. The combination of deep black needles within translucent to opaque material -- each a unique pattern -- creates a perfect polarity of energies and represents a natural balance.

About 14k gold fill: 14K gold filled wire is a professional jewelers grade wire.  Gold filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold mechanically bonded to a brass or silver base. There is 100 times more gold in gold filled than in gold plate wire. This layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th of the total metal weight to be called gold filled. The color looks exactly like 14k gold.  It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewelry.

Your jewelry will arrive beautifully gift wrapped in a small box. Multiple items will be combined, unless separate boxes are requested. If this is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient, please let me know. I will be glad to include a note from you.
