For the modern bohemian. A trio of labradorite, green apatite, and light green jade are strung together on hand forged silver hoops and finished with a unique brown leather draw string closure. A sweet handmade slider allows for easy wear. One size fits all. Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish. Like with most leather, I suggest not getting this bracelet wet.

About Jade:  Jade is the term applied to forms of jadeite and nephrite. These minerals are similar in appearance and a distinction between the two often is not made. But, because of its more intense color and translucency, jadeite now brings higher prices and is thought to be the true jade.  Both beautiful and durable, jade has been used since prehistoric times for its ornamental and practical qualities.  Since at least 2950 BC, jade has been treasured in China as the royal gemstone, yu. The word yu is used in Chinese to call something precious, as in English we use gold.

About labradorite: Labradorite is truly a fascinatingly beautiful mineral. Its a mineral whose charm is not fully noticed and may be overlooked if not viewed from the proper position. When the light hits this plain gray stone, flashes of blue, yellow and green, called labradorescence are revealed. Labradorite was first found in 1770 on the Labrador Peninsula in Canada. It is also found in Norway, and the former USSR. Legend says that Labradorite is a power stone, allowing you to see through illusions and determine the actual form of your dreams and goals. Sounds good to me!

About Apatite: The color of apatite is similar to beautiful tropical waters.  Apatite is actually the mineral that makes up the teeth and bones of all vertebrate animals. The name comes from the Greek word apate, which means, "to deceive." Apatite was often confused, therefore "deceiving" many, with some of the more valuable gems such as tourmaline, olivine, peridot, topaz and beryl.  Apatite's history with humans is long, yet surprisingly vague. While the stone has been associated with appetite suppression for centuries, few other traditions are known. Give in to the inspirational qualities of the Apatite crystal stone and encourage a peaceful respite from the confusion that comes from adulting in the modern world.

FAQ

What is this jewelry made of?

I use quality sterling silver, 14k gold fill and 14k gold.  Occasionally I throw in some bronze, copper or brass.  I use all natural gemstones, some have been treated to enhance color.

About 14k gold fill: 14K gold filled wire is a professional jewelers grade wire. Gold filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold mechanically bonded to a brass or silver base. There is 100 times more gold in gold filled than in gold plate wire. This layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th of the total metal weight to be called gold filled. The color looks exactly like 14k gold. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewelry.
